On Tuesday, U.S. defender Chris Richards was asked about watching other teams’ games during this World Cup.

“Oh yeah. We watch together and have a great time,” Richards said. “In the moment, you’re a fan. Then afterward, you realize that this is also the same tournament that we’re playing in.”

On Wednesday, Richards and Co., ensured the USA will continue playing in this tournament by beating Bosnia & Herzegovina 2-0.

The round-of-32 win in front of 68,827 in Santa Clara, California, set up a round-of-16 meeting with Belgium in Seattle on Monday. By then, Coach Mauricio Pochettino’s team will have been part of a World Cup for 24 days.
