The 2026-27 Ligue 1 season kicks off on Friday with the largest contingent of Americans ever in France’s top flight.

Gio Reyna (Strasbourg) and Bryan Reynolds (Rennes) arrive from Germany and Belgium, respectively, to join Folarin Balogun (Monaco), Mark McKenzie (Toulouse), Tanner Tessmann (Lyon) and Tim Weah (Marseille), upping the total to six Americans in Ligue 1.
