The former Inter and AC Milan striker laterinsisted that the post was made in jest and was not meant to be offensive. Responding to the criticism on Twitter, the 24-year-old tweeted: “My Mom is Jewish so all of you shut up please.” The FA andLiverpool confirmed to BBC News that they are looking into the incident.
