Manchester United on Wednesday confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw, who was stretchered off the field during United’s 2-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven in its UEFA Champions League opener onTuesday, has suffered a double fracture of his right leg and will be out for a minimum of six months. Shaw was forced off the field after 15 minutes following a challenge from Mexico internationalHector Moreno. Shaw has already undergone an operation on what medical staff described as a clean break.
