Real Madrid slumped to a third defeat in five games, losing 1-0 to Villarreal on Sunday. After the game, coach Rafael Benitez said he was baffled by his team’s first-half performance:”It is difficult to explain because it is clear in the first-half we didn’t play well and I expected the team we saw in the second-half, albeit we lacked precision,” Benitez said. Asked if defeatjeopardizes the club’s title aspirations, the Spaniard replied: “I insist this is a league in which all the teams will lose points.” He added: “The important thing is to face thegames like we did in the second-half, that will allow us to have more guarantees and win games.”
