The back pass by the Colorado Rapids’ Jared Watts came low and hard from 40 yards, and evaded Colorado keeper Tim Howard  for an own goal that gifted D.C.United a 1-0 win. The mishap ended D.C. United’s winless streak dating back to June 21.
