Former England coach Glenn Hoddle is the favorite to replace Italian Gianfranco Zola as West Ham manager if theHammers’ owners David Sullivan and David Gold decide to make a switch in a bid to stave off relegation.

Hoddle, 52, has been working in recent years as a TV pundit and might be approached about the West Ham job. The Hammers are only one point outside the relegation zone following their 3-1 loss toWolves on Tuesday, their fifth defeat in a row.

West Ham is believed to have already offered the job to and been rejected by Mark Hughes. TheHammers will face Stoke City on Saturday at Upton Park in what is a must-win game for Zola.
