  1. The slow on the new angle looks like he got to it just a fraction before the defender, I think the ‘goal of the century’ bit is a bit much – No matter the goal that was some sad defending and a nice run up to.

  2. Sorry, his run and this goal are impressive, but it is hardly the “Goal of the Century”. Poor defending on the part of the England team made the difference. If the world were a better place the marketing “Powers that Be” would focus more on his shameful “Hand of God” goal and forever label him for what he was and still is: A liar and cheat who, in my opinion, tarnished that World Cup. One more thing: I also think it laughable that some people (certainly Maradona) are comparing his career to that of Pele. Give me a break.

  3. To the “Negative Nancy’s” Frank and Jim: you guys are some got damn haters!!!! You think it’s that easy to just juke and dribble past players? In front of 100,000 screaming fans?? DURING A WORLD CUP??? Against your arch rival country that your at war with???? You guys are on crack thinking that this is not the goal of the century!!! It’s exactly because of the before mentioned circumstances that THIS IS THE GOAL OF THE CENTURY!!! Maradona was not a “cheat” he just played the game like it’s played in the rest of the world, it’s the referees job to catch the infractions!!!
