In the early 1990s when there was no professional outdoor soccer to speak of in the United States and opportunities where rare abroad, former N.C. State stars Dario Brose and HenryGutierrez moved to French amateur club Stade Briochin and helped it reach the professional ranks, climbing to the second division in 1993.
