AC Milan on Thursday announced the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano on a five-year deal. Shakhtar later confirmed that the Rossoneri had paid 8 million euros ($8.9 million)to secure the Brazilian’s signature. Adriano famously joined Barcelona striker Lionel Messi in the UEFA Champions League record book last season by scoring five goals in a 7-0 thrashingof BATE Borisov last October. He would finish the tournament with nine goals, one behind joint-top scorers Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo
