Massimiliano Allegri believes Juventus still has a good chance of qualifying for the Round of 16 despite falling to third place in Group A of the UEFA Champions League after Wednesdaynight’s 1-0 loss at Olympiakos. After the game, Allegri blamed the loss on a poor first half: “We were bad technically, didn’t move enough and allowed three or four counterattacks, which were what Olympiakos wanted,” the Juve coach told Sport Mediaset. “In the second half we wasted too many scoring opportunities. We leave here with a bitter result and regretsover the first half, but I maintain we still have a very good chance of qualifying.”
Meanwhile, Juve striker Carlos Tevez and midfielder Paul Pogba seem to think their teamis missing something in Europe: “I think we do lack something in the Champions League, whereas in Serie A we are more relaxed,”
Group A of the UCL is proving to be a tight one, as Atletico Madrid andOlympiakos both have six points after three games, while Juve and Malmo have three each.
