Former U.S. under-17 national team player Neven Subotic is the target of English clubs Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal, but they’ll have topay $30 million to get him from Borussia Dortmund.
Subotic, 21, played for the USA at the 2005 Under-17 World Cup but has since chosen to represent Serbia. If he signed with United, he’djoin Serbian Nemanja Vidic in the backline.
“If Manchester wants to have him, they have to sign over two oil fields to us,” Dortmund managingdirector Hans-Joachim Watzke said. “Or cart over at least two big trucks tightly packed full of English banknotes. We have no intention to sell the player, heis under contract.”
