In post-international break club action, several — but not all — players in the USMNT pool impressed.

Josh Sargent, Johnny Cardoso, Joe Scally and Brenden Aaronson stood out for the better. Tyler Adams and Christian Pulisic were among those with a weekend to forget. 

As with every weekend, there was a lot of ground to cover. 


Palace rolls past Fulham in FA Cup

In a matchup between two London teams each starting an American defender, Crystal Palace rolled past Fulham 3-0 in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Chris Richards played the entire game on the right side of Palace’s three-man backline while Antonee Robinson played 71 minutes for Fulham at left back. In some sobering news for Matt Turner, the New Jersey native goalkeeper had been the starter for Palace throughout the FA Cup while being the backup in the Premier League games. But now with the FA Cup in the later stages, Turner was benched in favor of Dean Henderson.
