• Brooks Lennon out 6-8 weeks with knee injury. Lennon became the latest Atlanta United player to be injured when he suffered an MCL sprain in his left knee during pre-game warmups on Saturday, slipping on a hard rubber surface that surrounds both touchlines at Toronto’s BMO Field. The Five Stripes also have five starters from their opening day lineup out with injuries, three of them out for the season.
• Ebony Salmon traded to Houston Dash. The 21-year-old English international was traded by Racing Louisville in return for upwards of $190,000 in allocation money. She led Louisville in scoring in 2021 with six goals after arriving in mid-May but hasn’t scored in 2022.
