Atlanta United continued to beef up its soccer front office ahead of its launch for its 2017 MLS season. After former U.S. national team captain Carlos Bocanegra, hired as technical director,Paul McDonough will join the club as director of soccer operations.
McDonough recently left Orlando City SC, where he was general manager in its expansion season. He’ll be incharge of Atlanta’s day-to-day soccer operations, including the first-team player budget, and oversee the club’s training facility.
