Atletico Madrid is headed to the Europa League after elimination from the UEFA Champions League. Captain Gabi, after his team’s 1-1 tie with Chelsea, said: “Right now I’dsay the Europa League is a piece of crap.”
Atletico Madrid won the Europa League in 2010 and 2012. It was Champions League runner-up in 2014 and 2016.
