Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery on Thursday confirmed that he will miss the rest of the Bundesliga season after being told by the club’s medical staff that he must rest his injuredankle for another two weeks. Ribery, 32, sustained the injury during Bayern’s 7-0 thrashing of Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on March 11. While the Frenchman willmiss Bayern’s UCL semifinal second-leg against Barcelona on Tuesday, he could conceivably return for the final, should Bayern overcome its 3-0 deficit after Wednesday’sfirst-leg.
