FIFA president Sepp Blatter and UEFA resident Michel Platini have had their appeals against 90-day bans rejected byFIFA”s appeal committee. They intend to take their cases to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. FIFA’s ethics committee suspended them in connection with an investigation into corruption claimsagainst them. The case involving Blatter and Platini together relates to a $2 million payment by Blatter to Platini in 2011 for work supposedly done nine years earlier under the terms of a verbalcontract.
