Courted by the Houston Dynamo and its Scottish-American coach, Dominic Kinnear, the 28-year-old striker is instead headed to thePortland Timbers, coached by former Scotland international John Spencer. Boyd was recently released from his contract with Eskisehirspor in Turkey, where hespent five months. Colombian defender Wilman Conde is returning to MLS with the New York Red Bulls.
