[NWSL] Less than a week before the start of the 2013 season, Amy Carnell resigned as the general manager of the NWSL’sSeattle Reign. Reign FC appointed head coach Laura Harvey, who came to the club from Arsenal Ladies, to the role of general manager in place Carnell, whoresigned her position for personal reasons. Carnell, the club’s first employee, had come to the club from the Seattle Sounders Women of the W-League, whom Reign FC had beaten out for the Seattle NWSLrights.

“The organization would like to thank Amy for all she invested during her time at the club,” said Bill Predmore, owner ofSeattle Reign FC. “Amy was the first employee of the club and helped put us in a position for a successful first season in the NWSL. Her passion for the sport and enthusiasm for the job will bemissed.”

Reign FC’s opener is Sunday at the Chicago Red Stars.
