The Vancouver Whitecaps will become the first team to clinch a berth in the quarterfinals of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League with a win at Sporting Kansas City on Tuesday. A tie willeliminate Sporting KC and all but assure the ‘Caps of advancing. As it is, a win over Central FC on Sept. 28 is all they need to move into the final eight for the first time.
