German club Borussia Dortmund announced that its 17-year-old American, Christian Pulisic, was called up to the U.S. national team for the two World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala, but he hasbeen retained in Dortmund because of an infection. He could still join the national team for the second game Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio.
