Cristiano Ronaldo has never won a championship with Portugal, and Euro 2016 might be his best chance, despite a poor tournament. On the eve of the quarterfinals against Poland, Portugal coachFernando Santos said he was confident his 31-year-old star can handle the pressure.
“Everybody is talking about him and there is a reason for that, he is an amazing player,” Santossaid. “People only talk a lot about the great players. There are hundreds of players that we don’t talk about every day. It is a natural thing some are mentioned more than others because they areamazing players. Ronaldo knows how to deal with that.”
