Aaron Davidson, former president of the Miami-based unit of Brazilian sports marketing conglomerate Traffic Group and an architect of the NASL’s relaunch in 2011, entered his plea infederal court in Brooklyn to charges of racketeering conspiracy and wire fraud conspiracy in connection with the bribery scandals that rocked soccer
Davidson, one of 42 individuals andentities charged, greed to forfeit $507,900, after he admitted he participated in schemes to direct $14.1 million in bribes to former Concacaf president Jeffrey Webb.
“I knew thatMr. Webb was using his position of authority and trust to enrich himself personally, and I understood that he was doing so without the knowledge of the organizations he represented or was affiliatedwith,” Davidson said.
