[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] D.C. United’s efforts to rebuild its backline continued with the acquisition of 31-year-old Jeff Parkefrom Philadelphia. Parke, who grew up in the Philadelphia area and moved to the Union from Seattle in 2012, joins Bobby Boswell, taken in the Re-Entry Draft, togive D.C. two new veteran defenders in the middle of the backline. They have played 498 regular-season games between them.
