Dutchman Frank de Boer, who has signed a three-year deal as Crystal Palace manager in place of Sam Allardyce, says he is excited to join the London club because it is ready to “spend alot of money.”

“The aim is to be a solid Premier League team, not to struggle with relegation,” said de Boer. “That is our main target. If we do more, that’s nice.”

  1. Hmmm. Sure this is the right guy? Palace doesn’t have a lot of money, and your money doesn’t go very far in the Premier League. The wedge of survival between relegation and mid-table is thinner than ever. Good luck Frank, you will need it for the upcoming relegation battle and all the scrappy play you’ll need to survive–ask Sam.
