Jack Warner — remember him? — will have a Trinidadian High Court judge rule on June 17 whether the United States will be included as an interested party in the lawsuit filed by the formerConcacaf president challenging his extradition on corruption charges issued on May 27, 2015. Justice James Aboud heard submissions in the matter on Friday. Warner, 72, has been free on bail andchallenged Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi’s decision to sign off on his extradition in September 2015 as unlawful. Warner has been at the center of accusations of widespread corruption insoccer going back more than 20 years. He came to power as Concacaf president in 1990.
