Defoe expected to be ready to go for Toronto FC

[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] Toronto FC expects English signing Jermain Defoe to be ready to go for its 2014 opener at SeattleMarch 15. General manager Tim Bezbatchenko told reporters at trainingcamp in Florida on Thursday that there was “nothing to be concerned about” with the hamstring injury that kept Defoe out of Thursday’s Tottenham-Dnipro Europa league match, which would have been hislast game for Spurs at White Hart Lane.
