And the Norwegian-born midfielder was the unlikely hero for the USATuesday night in a match seemingly destined for a disappointing conclusion. Diskerud and Aron Johannsson scored in the last quarter of the hour to give the USAa 2-0 win over Azerbaijan in its first World Cup warmup at windy Candlestick Park in San Francisco.
