Conmebol president Alejandro Dominguez says the ideal number of teams for the 2019 Copa America in Brazil is 16 teams — 10 South American teams, plus six invited teams. It usuallyconsists of 12 teams, 10 from South America, plus Mexico and a rotating team from Concacaf.
The should just have a combined Copa every four years with 16 teams including 6 from CONCACAF. It doesn’t have to always be in the US as was discussed last year but a combined tournament is the way to go.
