A year after making his debut with AIK Stockholm at the age of 16, Alexander Isak, the son of Eritrean immigrants, earned a transfer for $10.8 million to Borussia Dortmund, where he joinsEurope’s greatest collection of teenage talent.
“Isak is rewriting history and I am not surprised,” said Swedish national team coach Janne Anderson. “I knew that he would do well.He is calm and incredibly stable.”
Isak has been dubbed the “new Ibrahimovic” but at the age of 17 makes his first move abroad two years earlier than Zlatan Ibrahimovic did toAjax.
