There’s an adage in soccer that you should ‘always judge coaches by their results.’ It’s mostly put around by coaches who have been successful, but have made few friends along the way. Cut Jose Mourinho down the middle and those are the words you’d find etched into his bilious cadaver. For the sake of a discussion, though, let’s judge one particular coach by his results — Carlos Queiroz  of the Egyptian national team, which on Sunday narrowly missed out on its eighth Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title.
