[BRAZIL 2014] Ghana is scrambling to ensure that blackouts won’t prevent Black Star fans from watching Monday’s USA-Ghana match at the World Cup. It is boostingpower production with electricity imported from neighboring Ivory Coast. Ghanaian energy providers are contributing extra power to the tune $30 million, more than three times the government isspending to fund the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign. And it has asked the state-owned Volta Aluminum Company to cut production during Black Star matches.
