1. Julian Araujo, the 17-year-old LA Galaxy right back, has flown to Poland to join the U.S. team preparing for Friday’s openeragainst Ukraine at the Under-20 World Cup. Fox Sports broadcaster Keith Costigan tweeted that Araujo, a reserve on the U.S.U-20s in qualifying behind Ajax’s Sergino Dest, would replace an undetermined injured player. Araujo, who has attracted interest from the Mexican federation, was outstanding in his first two MLSstarts for the Galaxy in 2019 but an injury kept him out of the next three games. He started in the 2-0 loss to NYCFC a day after the U-20 roster was announced.
