1. Michael Edwards started for Wolfsburg’s A-Jugend in its 3-0 win over Hannover 96 for its third consecutive German U-19 Cup title. The 18-year-olddefender moved from D.C. United’s academy in January. Fellow American Ulysses Llanez, who is in Poland with the U.S. under-20 national team, signed with Wolfsburg in April, too late to beeligible for official competition this season. Sebastian Soto and Chris Gloster, both starters with big roles for the U-20s in their 2-0 win over Nigeria, spent time with Hannover 96’s U19s. Sotodebuted for the first team at the end of the Bundesliga season while Gloster quickly graduated to the second team.
