[MLS SCHEDULE: Week 17] FC Dallas will look to hold on to its narrow Western Conference lead when it hosts Sporting KansasCity, which hasn’t played an MLS game in three weeks — plenty of time to think about its three-game winless streak that dropped into seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

FC Dallasshould have Blas Perez available. He missed the Panama-USA World Cup qualifier with diverticulitis but came back to play in the Canaleros’ 2-0 loss to CostaRica on Tuesday night. Kenny Cooper will also likely play after missing the 1-0 loss in Portland to be with his family following his father Kenny Cooper Sr.’s heart attack

Sporting KC welcomed back seven players from international duty, including U.S. national team starters Matt Besler and Graham Zusi.

In their absence, the only game Sporting KC played was a 1-0 loss to USL PRO’sOrlando City in the U.S. Open Cup.
