• Barajas moves to Chivas. Fidel Barajas, 18, became the latest young Mexican-American whom a Liga MX team has signed from an MLS team, signing with Guadalajara for a transfer fee from Real Salt Lake reported to be “north of $4 million,” according to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert. RSL had signed the winger earlier in the year from Charleston Battery, where he was named the 2023 USL Championship’s Young Player of the Year.

• Hartel inks St. Louis DP deal. Midfielder Marcel Hartel, who scored 17 goals and added 12 assists in 2023-24 to help St. Pauli win promotion to the German Bundesliga from the 2. Bundesliga, signed with St. Louis City as a Designated Player through June 2028 with an option for the remainder of 2028.
