The FIFA scandals that have rocked FIFA took another dramatic turn on Friday as four American heavyweight sponsors — Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Visa and Budweiser — called on FIFA president Sepp Blatter to step down immediately. Blatter is under criminal investigation by Swiss justice over a television deal FIFA made with former Concacaf president Jack Warner and a $2 million payment to UEFA president Michel Platini, Blatter’s heir apparent.
