
Making it abroad — whether it is in Europe or Mexico– has never been easy, even players who had high visibility representing the USA at the Under-20 World Cup.
Of the 33 players who went to the 2013, 2015 and 2017 U-20 World Cups and haveplayed abroad, just a handful are first-team regulars on first-division teams that own their contracts: Tyler Adams, Emmanuel Sabbi and DeAndre Yedlin.
