In its eighth appearance at the Women’s College Cup, Florida State won a national championship. Jamia Fields‘ goal in the 83rd minute gave the Seminoles a 1-0win over Virginia in Sunday’s final. Florida State was able to hold the nation’s best-scoring team without a goal to finish the NCAA Women’s Tournament with six shutouts in six games.
