Reynaldo Vasquez, the former president of El Salvador’s soccer federation who is wanted in the United States for alleged corruption, received eight years in Salvadoran prison on fraud chargesfor misappropriating funds due 204 workers of a family-owned bed-manufacturing company.
Vasquez has faced extradition on since 2015 on five counts of alleged bribery linked to commercialdeals for the broadcasting of qualifiers for the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
