Frenchman Herve Renard has been appointed coach of Ivory Coast, replacing Sabri Lamouchi, who left after the Elephants’ first-round elimination from this summer’sWorld Cup. The 45-year-old Renard has coached French club Sochaux for the last nine months. He’s had two spells as Zambia coach and led them to the Africa Cup of Nations title in 2012.
