Frank Yallop coached the San Jose Earthquakes to their two MLS Cup wins — in 2001 and 2003 — and had a 2008-2013 stint with the Quakes after coaching the Canadian national team and the LA Galaxy. Now second-year coach of the USL Championship’s Monterey Bay F.C., on April 25, he celebrated a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup upset over the Quakes, coached by Luchi Gonzalez, whom Yallop drafted while Quakes coach in 2002.
