Mario Goetze continues his battle against an unspecified metabolism disorder, which will force him to miss the rest of Borussia Dortmund’s season.
“Provided his treatment goespositively, Goetze can start again with performance-orientated training in early summer,” Dortmund said in a statement. “The overall sporting goal for the player is to be fully operational for thestart of next season.”
Dortmund also announced on Wednesday it extended the deal of midfielder Gonzalo Castro until 2020. It recently re-signed Julian Weigl (until 2021)and Christian Pulisic (until 2020).
