U.S. Soccer has rehired John Hackworth to run the U.S. under-17 national team program in residency in Bradenton, Florida, eight years after his first stint ended. Hackworth rejoined thenational team program in 2014 after being fired as Philadelphia Union head coach and worked with the U-15 age group that will form the core of the next U-17 national team. His return in place ofRichie Williams, who was named an assistant coach at Real Salt Lake, comes as the future of the full-time residency has been questioned.
