U.S. midfielder Lauren Holiday, who scored the third goal in the USA’s 5-2 win over Japan in Sunday’s Women’s World Cup final, announced on Tuesday that she isretiring from the national team after its celebration tour and will quit soccer after the NWSL season with FC Kansas City. Holiday, 27, has also won two Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012 and anNWSL title with FCKC in 2014.
