[NWSL 2014 COUNTDOWN] The Houston Dash has appointed Randy Waldrum, who led Notre Dame to national titles in 2004 and 2010,as the NWSL expansion team’s first head coach. He is the most established coach to leave the college ranks for a women’s pro club since the first league, WUSA, launched in 2001.
In his 15 seasons at the helm of the Fighting Irish, the 57-year-old Waldrum compiled a 294-58-17 record and reached five national championship matches.
