Generation adidas Cup will return for the first time in three years when 80 teams will compete in U-17 and U-15 competitions April 9-17 at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas.
• All 28 MLS teams will be represented in both age groups. St. Louis City SC, which will begin MLS play in 2023, will have a team entered in the U-17 division.
• Foreign academy teams will round out the 40-team fields — 11 in the U-17 age group and 12 in the U-15 division. Celtic, Flamengo, Manchester United, Monterrey, River Plate, Tigres and Tijuana will have teams in both age groups.
• All teams are guaranteed seven matches. Most will be 60-minute games (two 30-minute halves).
