• New Mexico United stadium lease agreement approved. The Albuquerque City Council’s vote was 7-2 in favor of the deal for a stadium privately funded with a capacity of 8,000-10,000 seats on seven-acre lot east of the Balloon Field Park launch field.

 • Super League adds Fort Lauderdale team. The team, founded by Tommy Smith, is the ninth team slated to launch for the women’s league’s 2024-25 season. It plans to play at Nova Southeastern University, the site of the Miami Dolphins’ former training facility.
