Andres Iniesta has labeled Barcelona’s 4-0 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg victory over AC Milan at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night as one of the team’s“most complete” performances. The Blaugrana overturned a 2-0 deficit from the first-leg in Milan three weeks ago to win the two-game series 4-2 on aggregate. Four-time FIFA Ballond’Or winner Lionel Messi scored a superb brace in the first half to draw the series level before second half goals from David Villa and JordiAlba sealed the win.
“To date it was one of the most complete games we’ve played,” Iniesta said after the game. “The team played brilliantly. When you havethat kind of unity between the team and the fans games can be very long for our rivals at the Camp Nou.”
He added: “We had an obligation to try and fight back and that’swhat we did. The feelings we transmitted on the field were fantastic. When we show our identity, we’re very hard to beat. At times things do go the way you had hoped. The season is very long andthere’s time for everything. This Tuesday we had to be at 110 percent.”
